1. Basal Cell Carcinoma

The most common and most treatable form of skin cancer is a basal cell carcinoma. It is therefore the least serious form skin cancer. Roughly 2 million people are afflicted by this type of skin cancer, which commonly attacks areas which are exposed to the sun. Therefore the scalp, face and ears are normally among the first areas to develop the flat lesion like area upon the skin. The carcinoma may appear brown, reddish or flesh colored, at times taking on the appearance of a waxy or pearl-colored lump upon the skin.
